Richmond, Va. — World Pediatrics is pleased to announce the promotion of Linda Boyland to Vice President of Chapter Development, recognizing her exceptional leadership, development expertise, and longstanding commitment to advancing the organization’s mission.

Boyland brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience in fundraising, strategic planning, board development, donor engagement, and organizational growth. During her seven years with World Pediatrics, she has served as Vice President of Development for the organization’s St. Louis Chapter, transforming it into the highest-performing development markets across the organization.

Under her leadership, the St. Louis Chapter consistently generated millions of dollars to support the organization’s mission of transforming access to advanced pediatric healthcare for children around the world.

In her new role, Boyland will provide strategic leadership for World Pediatrics’ U.S. chapter network, working closely with chapter teams and chapter boards to strengthen development, enhance operational consistency, foster collaboration, and support sustainable market growth. She will also serve on the organization’s Senior Leadership Team, helping shape strategies that expand philanthropic support and deepen community engagement nationwide.

“Linda has been an invaluable leader for World Pediatrics and a driving force behind the remarkable growth of our St. Louis chapter,” said Vafa Akhavan, President and Chief Executive Officer of World Pediatrics. “She has leaned in to help write our future, has built strong relationships with donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and community leaders while consistently delivering outstanding fundraising results. Linda leads with integrity, collaboration, and a deep commitment to our mission. As we continue to strengthen our chapter network, I am confident her experience and practical approach will help our teams build on their successes and expand our impact for children and families around the world.”

Boyland said she is honored to step into the new role and looks forward to supporting chapters across the country.

“Over the past seven years, I’ve seen the incredible difference that dedicated volunteers, generous donors, committed boards, and passionate staff can make when they come together around a shared purpose,” said Boyland. “Every chapter plays a vital role in advancing our mission, and I’m excited to work alongside our teams to build on their successes, share best practices, and create even greater opportunities to transform children’s lives through access to specialized pediatric healthcare.”
