Non-Medical Volunteers

Volunteers are crucial to the work carried out by World Pediatrics, providing vital support to patients and their families both near to and far from home. Your role as a volunteer allows you to make a direct impact, offering care and assistance to children and their guardians while they receive support through World Pediatrics.

Ways you can help

1

Welcoming families at the airport when they arrive and seeing them off when they are ready to return home

2

Taking families on outings during their downtime before or after surgery

3

Teaching a new skill or doing an activity at the housing facility with families

4

Assisting families with surgery check-in and supporting them during their child’s surgery day

5

Transporting and accompanying families to medical appointments

6

Providing social and emotional support to families by visiting them while they are in the hospital

We are open to new ideas for volunteering, especially if you're interested in Spanish-speaking roles. While not required, bilingual skills can greatly help, as many families we assist speak Spanish. In addition, office and event volunteers provide valuable support to our operational team. Please Contact Us to become involved.
