World Pediatrics at the International Maternal Newborn Health Conference 2026

World Pediatrics recently participated in the International Maternal Newborn Health Conference (IMNHC) 2026, joining a global community of partners, ministries of health, clinicians, and innovators focused on improving outcomes for mothers and newborns worldwide.

Throughout the conference, our team shared insights from programs across Latin America and the Caribbean, highlighting the importance of strengthening local health systems to reduce neonatal mortality. At World Pediatrics, this work begins at the community level—equipping frontline providers with the skills, tools, and support needed to deliver high-quality neonatal care. From advancing essential newborn care practices to expanding access to life-saving technologies, our approach targets the leading causes of newborn mortality where the need is greatest.

IMNHC also provided an opportunity to learn from partners driving progress in regions such as East Africa and beyond. These exchanges reinforced the importance of adapting proven approaches across different settings while continuing to invest in locally led solutions.

Most importantly, the conference strengthened relationships with ministries of health, clinicians, and global organizations. Sustainable progress in maternal and newborn health depends on these partnerships—working shoulder to shoulder to build stronger systems of care.

As we move forward, World Pediatrics remains committed to advancing solutions that ensure every newborn has the opportunity to survive and thrive.
